Simba and I visited the Round Island Lighthouse in Pascagoula, Mississippi — a historic Gulf Coast landmark with an incredible story of survival and restoration.

Standing along the waterfront today, it’s more than just a lighthouse — it’s a symbol of preservation and resilience.

Originally built in 1859 on Round Island in the Mississippi Sound, the lighthouse served as a guide for ships navigating the coastal waters for over a century.
