๐ The Dangling Legs of Haight-Ashbury – San Francisco’s Bold Boutique Landmark
Simba ๐พ and I made a quick stop at one of San Francisco’s most iconic and playful landmarks — the Dangling Legs sculpture above Piedmont Boutique at 1452 Haight Street, right in the heart of the legendary Haight-Ashbury neighborhood.
Installed in 1995 by artist Barry Forman, this larger-than-life piece features a pair of fishnet-stocking legs in red high heels, kicking stylishly out of the second-story window. Originally created to draw attention to the boutique below, the sculpture has since become a beloved local landmark — equal parts kitsch, art, and San Francisco attitude.
