I set out for a little adventure on Sauvie Island near Portland and stumbled across one of the city’s strangest hidden gems—the Collins Beach UFO. This quirky, dome-shaped structure is tucked away in the woods, covered in graffiti, and radiates serious otherworldly vibes. It’s the perfect example of Portland’s motto: Keep Portland Weird.

But here’s the kicker—Collins Beach itself? It’s a nude beach. Yep… something I definitely wasn’t expecting until I got there and saw what I saw! 😅 Let’s just say it added an unexpected layer to the adventure.

What I didn’t realize until I arrived is that Collins Beach is also known as one of Portland’s clothing-optional beaches. 😂 Between spotting UFO graffiti and dodging awkward eye contact, it made for a very memorable stop! If you plan on visiting, just be prepared—you may see more than you bargained for.
