Simba 🐾 and I set out on one of the most scenic hikes in the Columbia River Gorge—the Latourell Falls Loop Trail in Corbett, Oregon. Lower Latourell Falls

The loop begins with a jaw-dropping view: Lower Latourell Falls, a single-drop waterfall plunging over 200 feet down a column of black basalt cliffs. The spray fills the air, and the sound is nothing short of powerful. Simba and I took a moment here just to breathe it in—water, mist, and raw Gorge beauty.

Upper Latourell Falls

As the trail climbs into the forest, it winds past moss-draped trees and bubbling creeks until you reach Upper Latourell Falls. This two-tiered cascade feels tucked away, almost secret compared to the dramatic lower falls. It’s a quieter spot—perfect for snapping photos and soaking in the peaceful vibes before continuing the loop.
