Simba 🐾 and I visited the Famous One-Log House in Garberville, California — a truly unique roadside attraction along the Avenue of the Giants! 🌲

This incredible home was carved entirely out of a single giant redwood log, showcasing the creativity and craftsmanship that define the spirit of the California redwoods. Built in 1946, the One-Log House was hollowed from a 2,100-year-old redwood tree and now stands as one of Humboldt County’s most beloved roadside wonders.

Inside, this cozy redwood cabin includes a living room, kitchen, and bedroom — all carved from one enormous log! It’s a perfect stop for travelers fascinated by quirky architecture and redwood ingenuity.
