Simba 🐾 and I set out on one of the most breathtaking drives in America—the legendary Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park, Montana. Stretching 50 miles across the park, this engineering marvel winds through towering mountain peaks, alpine lakes, and glacial valleys, offering jaw-dropping views at every turn.

The Drive of a Lifetime

Completed in 1932, Going-to-the-Sun Road is more than just a scenic drive—it’s a feat of engineering. The road hugs steep cliffs, tunnels through rock, and climbs up to Logan Pass at 6,646 feet, the highest point on the route.

Every twist and turn brought something new: crystal-clear lakes, sweeping valleys, and snow-capped mountains. Waterfalls tumbled down the cliffs, and we even caught glimpses of wildlife roaming the alpine meadows.

Why It Belongs on Your Bucket List

This drive is pure magic because it combines:

Unforgettable scenery: Peaks, lakes, and valleys that define Montana’s wilderness.

Accessibility
: You don’t need to be a hardcore hiker to enjoy world-class views.

History & engineering
: A National Historic Landmark that has wowed travelers for nearly a century.

Adventure vibes

Simba enjoyed every mile, and I couldn’t stop pulling over to capture photos and videos of this incredible landscape.
