πΎπ Hiking the West Beach 3-Loop Trail at Indiana Dunes National Park with Simba the Adventure Pup! π²π️
Simba and I set out to explore the West Beach 3-Loop Trail in Indiana Dunes National Park, and this dog-friendly adventure was a total win from start to finish. With sand dunes, forest paths, Lake Michigan views, and peaceful boardwalks, it’s one of the most diverse and scenic hikes we’ve done in the Midwest!
Located near Ogden Dunes, Indiana, the 3-loop system connects three unique trails into one unforgettable experience:
Dune Succession Trail π️ — A climb through towering dunes with sweeping views of Lake MichiganLong Lake Loop πΏ — A shady, wooded path circling a quiet inland lake
West Beach Trail π️ — A gentle stroll along sandy beach access with fresh breezes and water views
Simba was in his element — sprinting up dunes, trotting through forest shade, and happily wagging his tail with every sandy step. πΆπ¨
