Crazy Horse Memorial 🏞️ Crazy Horse, South Dakota

Simba and I visited the incredible Crazy Horse Memorial in Crazy Horse, South Dakota — one of the most awe-inspiring and ambitious monuments in the world. This massive mountain carving, still in progress, honors the legendary Lakota warrior Crazy Horse and serves as a powerful tribute to Native American heritage and culture.

Construction began in 1948 under sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski, and when completed, the Crazy Horse Memorial will be the largest mountain carving on Earth. The sheer scale and symbolism of this site make it one of the most moving landmarks you can visit in the Black Hills.
