This trail is the crown jewel of the Black Hills, weaving through towering granite spires, shaded pine forests, and open ridges that lead to jaw-dropping views.

The hike starts in the lush Black Hills National Forest and gradually climbs through rocky switchbacks and granite outcroppings. Along the way, Simba stopped to sniff every pine-scented breeze while I soaked in sweeping views and rugged beauty.
The final stretch to the lookout tower is a thrilling climb through stone stairways carved into the granite itself — and the reward is pure magic.
