π―️πͺ¨ Exploring Cathedral Caverns - A Jaw-Dropping Underground Adventure in Alabama ⛏️
Hey friends! Ash here — and while Simba the Adventure Pup stayed topside for this one πΆ❌π³️, I went underground to explore one of Alabama’s most mind-blowing natural wonders: Cathedral Caverns State Park in Woodville, AL!
From the moment you step through the massive cavern entrance (seriously, it’s over 25 feet tall and 126 feet wide π²), you’re transported into a glowing world of stalagmites, flowstone, and pure underground magic.

π️ Inside the Cavern
Cathedral Caverns is known for some record-breaking formations, and trust me — they do not disappoint:

Everything is beautifully lit, and the paved walk makes it accessible for most visitors. The guides are fun, knowledgeable, and great at pointing out all the natural details you’d otherwise miss.

✨ Final Thoughts
While Simba had to miss this one (π€), Cathedral Caverns was absolutely worth the stop — and one of the most unique natural experiences I’ve had on the road. It’s awe-inspiring, accessible, and a great break from the heat if you’re traveling in warmer months.
If you’re an RV traveler, a geology nerd, or just someone who loves discovering new wonders, put this one on your Alabama bucket list!
Until next time — happy travels, natural wonders, and the occasional dog-free detour π
