Exploring Tallulah Gorge State Park with Simba the Adventure Pup! 🐾⛰️
Hey friends! Ash here from Life on Paws and Wheels, and this week, Simba and I are taking you to one of Georgia’s most jaw-dropping natural wonders — Tallulah Gorge State Park in Tallulah Falls, GA!
If you’re looking for dramatic views, waterfalls, scenic trails, and a dog-friendly adventure, this is the spot. Whether you're just here for the overlooks or planning to explore deeper into the gorge, Tallulah Gorge is a must-see stop for RV travelers and nature lovers alike.
✔️ Shady sections and cool breezes — great for warmer days.
✔️ Photo-worthy stops everywhere — Simba posed like a pro with those sweeping canyon views in the background.
✔️ Relaxed pace — perfect for enjoying the moment without rushing.
Important tip: Dogs are not allowed on the steps to the suspension bridge or on the gorge floor trail. We stuck to the rim trails and still had an incredible experience.
💧 Bring water — there are water fountains near the Visitor Center but none on the trails.
🐕 Stick to dog-friendly areas — check with park staff if you’re unsure.
📸 Don’t miss the North + South Rim overlooks — best views of the waterfalls and gorge walls.
🎒 Pack a snack or lunch — there are picnic areas near the Visitor Center for a post-hike rest.
We parked the rig, hit the trail with Simba, and wrapped up the day with a cozy campfire. Total win. 🔥
