Discovering Pinnacle Mountain Falls with Simba the Adventure Pup at Table Rock State Park!
Hey friends! Ash here from Life on Paws and Wheels, and today Simba (my golden retriever and adventure sidekick) and I are taking you to a peaceful little gem tucked inside Table Rock State Park in South Carolina — the Pinnacle Mountain Falls Trail.
If you're looking for a quiet, forested trail that ends with a beautiful cascading waterfall, this one’s for you. It’s a short, dog-friendly hike with big payoff — perfect for an easy afternoon stroll or a relaxing start to your day in the mountains.
At the end of the trail, you’ll be rewarded with Pinnacle Mountain Falls — a picturesque cascade that spills over mossy rocks into a serene, shady hollow. It’s a peaceful place to rest, snap photos, or let your dog take in the sounds and scents of the forest.
✔️ Shady forest trail — great for warm days and gentle on the paws.
✔️ Short + rewarding — a quick but scenic outing with minimal elevation gain.
✔️ Low traffic — we had the trail mostly to ourselves, making it a peaceful escape from busier park areas.
π§ Bring water — especially in warmer months, even short hikes need hydration.
π₯Ύ Wear sturdy shoes — the trail has a few muddy and rocky sections.
πΆ Keep dogs leashed — for safety and out of respect for local wildlife and other hikers.
πΈ Don’t miss the falls photo op — it’s a hidden gem and well worth the short hike!
There are RV-friendly sites with hookups, and the park is well maintained with easy access to multiple trailheads. It’s a great place to park your rig and explore the Upstate region of South Carolina.
In our latest video, Simba and I guide you from the trailhead to the waterfall — sharing the forest views, creek crossings, and what it’s like hiking this tranquil spot with your pup.
